Heyyyyyyy.
Bryan, thank you for thinking of me so much with the Bishop. I’m finally moved back from school, and I have tomorrow off work, so hopefully I can get a bit of time in. I’ll edit this post after I get to play tomorrow.

Another Update on Fourth Job Skills
Well, I disproved my whole theory of spending 2nd and 3rd job SP on 4th job skills. You can only spend the amount of SP gained from levels 120-162 on fourth job skills. So, again, a lot of what I’ve posted in the two previous posts is wrong. I’m leaving it all up, anyway.

Good News, Everyone!
This post probably renders everything in the previous post null and void, but I’ll leave it up just in case you want to read it. I kind of have a lot to write in this post, which is why I’m not just editing the previous one.
I was playing on Sunset, pissing off everyone in Henesys Hunting Ground with my super cool GENESIS when I saw a girl with both Bahamut and Elquines. I was interested, so I asked her about it. She said that all she did was “change jobs”. Good idear! Although I still have no idea how she has two jobs at once, I did discover that you can change your fourth job (as long as it’s under the magician umbrella; don’t go changing the bishop into a paladin plox) as much as you want!
When you do this, your second, third, and fourth job skill points will all be reset back to zero. Don’t worry about this, you can always ask Cody for more, remember? (That’s why this post invalidates most of what I said in the last post–we can just use second and third job SP on fourth job stuff now.)
So anyway, Sunset is currently in Fire/Poison Arch Mage mode. I was going to change it back to Bishop before I logged off, but since I know Sunny is best suited for deciding which skills are not necessary, I figured I’d just let her change it. Now that I look back on this decision, I feel lazy and selfish.
(Here’s a bunch of tedious work to do, Sunny, I’m going to bed. Good luck dollface!)
To Sunny: (Hay dollface!) To change it back to Bishop, just go to Cody and make the fourth job advancement as Bishop (obviously). Don’t forget to click Learn 4th Job Skills again, after that. Then you can just distribute all the SP you want into whatever you want. (Refer to my previous post about not investing in useless skills/skills we won’t be using at all in fourth job. I imagine we won’t need heal either, since we have a neverending supply of power elixirs.)

Bishop Information
I tried to write this in a way in which it would be directed to everyone, but instead I’m just going to direct it to Sunny, since she started the Bishop and will most likely finish it. If you’re not Sunny… pretend you are when reading this.
I restarted the Bishop, and tried to recreate its original image, the way you did. I went to Maple Island and got the relaxer, then I started making her a bishop with Cody.
While distributing AP, I made the mistake of thinking: “Hey, I know LUK is always supposed to be three more than your level, so I guess I’ll just keep pumping the points into it until it’s 164.” I caught myself at 158.
But before leveling, I had Cody give me the basic AP of a level 70 magician, so she basically had the AP of a level 70 magician, but at level 7, and all the AP gained from each level was still being given. In other words, up to level 70, it had double the normal AP, and all the extra AP went into INT. So the extra LUK isn’t as much of a waste as it sounds (though it’s still a waste).
On to SP.
This is kind of annoying, and a little complicated, so I’ll try to convey what I’m thinking as clearly as I can.
You know that once you finish leveling to 161, Cody can give you as much SP as you want. So you can max every skill, right? No. Wrong. He’ll give you as much as you want, but you can only spend as much as you would’ve normally accumulated. So there’s no way you can max every fourth job skill there is, because you’d have to be level 200 do to that. (I ran into this problem on the Shadower, too.) So I came up with a little theory that may or may not work, and assuming you know more about the Bishop, I’d rather you spend the SP on the rest of the fourth job skills I haven’t already maxed. I’ve already maxed Bahamut, Genesis, Angel Ray, and Big Bang, and I’ve put one point into Resurrection. Anyway, here’s my little theory:
I figure that if you don’t spend points on certain third job skills that aren’t even going to be used, those points can instead be used on fourth job skills, thus allowing us to have more points in the more fun techniques that we’ll all be using more often. (I only thought of this after I had maxed every second job skill except Holy Arrow.) So this is where I am hoping to rely on your knowledge of Priestdom. If you can decide which third job skills really won’t be necessary as a Bishop, then you can invest those points that would normally be used in third job on fourth job skills. There are certain fourth job skills that I really am not sure whether or not we will want or need, so I am hoping you can make the executive decision on those skills.
This was pretty redundant and superfluous, eh?
Let me know if something needs clearing up.

If there’s a way to break, I’m sure to find it.
Ok, this will probably be disjointed and incoherent. Mostly because it’s late and that’s how my mind is working (not working?) right now.
So I made a magician, Sunset. I was trying for a perfect roll, and then realized I probably could just use an AP reset, and finally took a 4/5. Only to find out that the CS was DCing you when you tried to buy stuff, but oh well.
I ambled around Maple Island for awhile. It’s changed, again, since I’ve last been, so it was interesting to see. I like the new quests and the addition of Slimes, Pigs and Stumps to the available monsters. I also went to Pio and got a chair, because my Maple Island experience just wouldn’t feel complete without a Relaxer to show for it.
I went to Shanks at level 6 because I’m a moron, and figured I could get to the necessary level 7 once I got to Vic. Shanks told me I was stupid, and made me go kill snails until I was 7. Which took five minutes, but you know, the walking. ;P
So on to Victoria, and to Phil, who brought me to Henesys.
So I find Cody, and I’m greedy, I must admit. Since after you click that you want to level, you can’t do anything else, I wanted to be good and sure I’d gotten everything I could before that happened. And I’ll spoil my story at this point, in case someone can figure out exactly where I went wrong. I borked the character. I couldn’t apply any SP into 2nd job (gave me a weird “Must put points into first skill” error or something very odd like that), and then when I tried to get Cody to level me, he said I had too much AP/SP for him to do it, and I should spend it first.. which of course I couldn’t. So Sunset is in a bit of a pickle, and I thought I’d blog about it before I deleted her and tried again. Anyway, so I’ll get to what I did.
Cash Shop, as previously mentioned, was being a jerk as far as buying stuff went. However, I was able to fully expand my inventory, and the storage slots. So I did that, and over the course of getting stuff from Cody, I got 12 mill, more Power Elixirs than I can count, some all-cures, and three rows each of Summoning Rocks and Magic Rocks.
First thing I did was go through all the advancements. So I was a level 7 Magician, then a level 7 Cleric, then a level 7 Priest, and finally a level 7 Bishop. I also had Cody do my AP up until level 70. So I’m also a level 7 Bishop with almost 300 INT. I was trying to spare my wrist some agony.
I took the gift of 100sp, and did the first job allocations. Then I learned all my 4th job skills with a click of a button, and then picked up two sets of my skill books. I’m still not quite sure how those work, and if there was a chance they’d fail, I wanted more than one.
Then I think I took away the SP I didn’t use, and I think that’s about all I did in total before what I’m assuming my big mistake was. I loaded up on SP (I have 300 to spend or something like that), because I wanted it, I guess. And then I decided to let Cody level me.. which, obviously, didn’t happen.
I think it’s a glitch that you can’t do Cody’s other stuff once you’ve committed to leveling, and I hope that’s fixed, because if I could get at the ‘eliminate extra SP/AP’ option, I could salvage the character.
Anyway, since I’m not certain she is salvageable, I put the 12 mill and my books and the power elixirs into the storage, and logged out.
If the consensus is that I perma-borked it, I don’t mind setting her up again. Maple Island is pretty easy, and I have a good idea of how to allocate the Skill Points.. I just need to be able to do it.
And I made reference to a lot of the screenies I took, but am too lazy to go back through the post and see where they should go, so they all get dumped at the end with captions.
So I somehow made a gallery, so let’s hope the captions match the pictures?
1. My chair (of victory!)
2. My quiz (of victory?)
3. Shanks, meeting v.1
4. Shanks, meeting v.2 (new and improved with chair!)
5. Shanks, meeting v.3
6. Shanks, meeting v.4 (Shanks pictures taken for Gloria, because I think she’s in love)
7. People dropping books like crazy. Also taken I think to highlight the Level 7 Cleric.
8. Level 7 Priest.
9. Level 7 Bishop, as well as all the amenities that Cody offers under the “Make job advancement” subheading.
10. What fourth job would you like to be today?
Much love if you actually read through all this..

First post!
So basically, this is the place where I hope we can keep track of all the Tespia stuff.
Like if someone logs off at level 10, and they come back and the character is level 150. That would be weird. Plus, I think it would be interesting to know who did what on what character, etc. Basically, just post about our amazing adventures on Tespia, the server of magical hope and wonder! It doesn’t have to be a big milestone.
We can also image dump screenies here, so we don’t have to cower in fear of being warned for posting too many off-site links on Neopets. To add an image, click the little icon next to add media on the Write Post page.
When you write a post, please also scroll down and check the categories that apply to your post, so we can be more ~*organized*~. And including your name somewhere in the post would be nice too. xP
I haven’t worked out how we’re going to schedule things yet. I’m thinking that can be less formal. More to come about that later.
That should be it for now!
-Vicki
(I found it! Well, still haven’t found how to view it, but this limited progress should be considered a resounding success! Also, can we have a private entry on here somewhere that has the log-in info? I’d write it on a piece of paper, but I’m moving soon.
